V for Victory began in 2017 after a local Jacksonville business owner’s son was diagnosed with cancer. A cancer diagnosis shakes a family to its core, confronting them with unthinkable uncertainties and challenges, while the outside world and everyday responsibilities continue to move forward. This business owner, who is an owner of V Pizza, witnessed firsthand how deeply the entire family is affected when a loved one battles cancer and how overwhelming it can be to focus on simple tasks like lawn care or cooking a meal. Leveraging his business background, he developed a unique service delivery model: a nonprofit dedicated to mobilizing local businesses and individuals to support families in their community. This life-changing experience forged an unbreakable bond between V for Victory and V Pizza, positively impacting the lives of hundreds of families battling cancer.
