Critical Services
V for Victory provides critical everyday support to adults, children, and families battling cancer through our Home, Auto, and Food Programs. We pay for essential services such as home cleaning, new tires for a vehicle, and even new air conditioning units when needed. No family should have to choose between comfort and care. These services are funded through donations, partnerships, and community support, ensuring families can focus on healing and spending time with their loved ones.
Our Business Partner Program connects local businesses with families in need by donating one service, one time a month, to one family. These are all in-kind contributions that create real impact, whether it is a restaurant providing a family dinner, a business offering home repair, or an experience that gives families the gift of fun and connection. Together, our business partners create a community of support, one service at a time.
Bricks of Love
Bring joy to children in treatment. LEGO group donated over 6,500 LEGO Sets to V for Victory in October of 2021. This project aims to change the narrative for children in treatment for cancer by providing something positive for them to look forward to after every doctors visit. Whether it’s bloodwork, a scan, a port injection or any other cancer related treatment, every child receiving treatment at Nemours will receive a LEGO set after every appointment. In addition to our year-round services, V for Victory hosts several seasonal initiatives that bring hope and joy to families throughout the year:
• School Supply Drive – Ensuring children battling cancer start the school year prepared.
• Family Trunk-or-Treat – A safe, fun-filled Halloween event for families.
• Thanksgiving Drive – Providing meals so families can celebrate together without worry.
• Holiday Toy Drive – Bringing holiday cheer to children and their families during the season of giving.
Victory Cart
The VICTORY cart is a physical coffee cart fully stocked with items (coffee, tea, etc) for families on the oncology unit (Weaver 4) at Wolfson’s Children’s hospital. The VICTORY cart’s “Cup of Comfort” is a gesture to families that they are not alone in this fight, that there is a community here to support them. It also serves as a way of introducing ourselves to families so that we might be able to provide valuable resources to them throughout their cancer journey. Help keep this cart stocked all year long!
